One of the biggest appeals of this site is the vast membership base including many Latin American countries. I have been sought out by folks in Spain, Argentina, Colombia as well as folks in the states - California, Connectict, NY. I truly have appreciated having this site as a resource to reach out to folks I would have probably never run into here in TX. Also the added featurews of "Magazine" and "blogs" really enhance the experience of making connections with others. It also provides an opportnity to enhance your profile by participating on article responses. It's a great way to show yourself in action when giving advice. I'm looking forward to August when I will be able to meet my special friend from Spain. After that visit, then i will truly have a 'success story" to comment.

	loquiya2000 said At the begining of this year i received a message from mauri and I called him once and I beleived he was bussy so I felt a little disapointed. A few months later I he send me another message, this time I didn't pay attention to it. But he insisted and send me a text saying that he wanted to meet me. Finally I called him and he answered, He said he was from Uruguay, just like one of my best friends. So she took my cell and started talking to him. So my friend was more interested in meeting him more than I was. Anyways he ended coming to her house, and when I saw him. I was so surprised and shy because I had no idea that he was coming over with his friend. So he was kind of quiet at the begining. And I was so nervous because I didn't even had make up. and my hair was a mess.I didn't think he was going to like me, but after a few weeks later after we got to know eachother better. He said "he love me! I AM NOT SURE, IF he still does, But I am pretty sure of one thing. I LOVE HIM VERY MUCH, I AM CRAZY INLOVE with this guy. But love hurts, especially when this is your first time, but I don't regret meeting him. He has and will always have a big space inside my heart. 	CalifLatino said I joined Amigos.com hoping to meet someone special for marriage. I was browsing profiles when I saw Mercedes ... I added Mercedes to my hotlist hoping to someday chat with her. Within a couple of days I found her online. We chatted for about 5 minutes because she was at work and was ready to go home for the day. Anyways we ended up talking again on April 9 ... and after many many chats and many many telephone conversations, I asked her to marry me. We set the date for Sept 2 and I went down to Ecuador August 19 to meet her in person. We were married on September 2 and had a very nice, big wedding.
	vanwely said Nancy and I who met on Amigos.com were married in Miami on July 24, 2005. She was in Colombia and I in Atlanta, Georgia. We met in Bogota on May 20, 2003 and I returned six times while we waited for her visa. We have traveled to Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. We are very very happy. I originally just joined because my friend did not have a credit card and I paid with mine. Since he was already a member, I did a search on Gabriel Garcia-Marquez and the profile "Magadelmar" came up. We wrote several times and I had one free night in Bogota. We fell in love immediatly. 	LaDamaBoricua said I have helped people find their parents, adoptive and natural for the past 10 years. I find it surprising that people post on the internet looking for a family member and do not know that there are so many public info sites that are free and available to the public! What is wrong with people! I can understand the adoptees but what is it with natural family members that lose contact and do not know how to find their family members?
