I thought this might be a great way to utilize the Internet to meet women. I joined Amigos.com because I am interested in meeting a Latin/Hispanic woman for a long term relationship and possibly marriage. I will also consider women for pen pals. I currently live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
I am a very open minded and responsible person of high ethical standards. I am highly educated. I studied at university for several years in a variety of academic disciplines. I ended up with both a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada and a post-graduate degree in law from the University of San Diego in San Diego, California, U.S.A.. I subsequently wrote and passed the California Bar exam and I am admitted as an attorney at law in California. My attorney license is #182415 which can be confirmed at The State Bar of California web site. I chose to study law because I wanted to get a degree in a professional field and law happened to be the most appropriate for a person of my intelligence and particular aptitude.
Many people have told me that I have a photographic memory. Although I spent a lot of time in university, I have never been a bookworm or an intellectual snob. I really like meeting people. I am very tolerant of people from different backgrounds, religions, races, socio-economic status and cultures. I always try to follow the main theme of Dale Carnegie's book "On how to win friends and influence people" by always taking an interest in others. I have also been told that I am a very interesting person to converse with, because I am knowledgeable about so many different subjects. My interests include, but are not limited to traveling, sports, movies, music, vintage automobiles (I own a 1969 Pontiac GT , photography (I use a Leica rangefinder camera), surfing the Internet, working out and current world events. I also enjoy going for long walks, bike rides, driving in the country and eating at classy restaurants. Although I don't presently own any pets, I love all animals and in 2003 I donated $3,300 to the Edmonton Humane Society and Animal Shelter. I would someday like to own a dog (probably a Labrador Retriever). In addition to living in Canada and the United States, I also lived in Europe (northern France) when I was very young.
I am presently working at two occupations with my total gross earnings exceeding $52,000 per year. The average income in Canada is about $31,000 per year. I also currently live at home with my parents which helps to keep my expenses low. Although my work is relatively easy and the people are friendly, I am at the point in my life where I need direction and so a change is coming for a more career orientated job appropriate for someone with my education. I would also like to work at only one occupation so that I would be working less hours and have more time available to pursue other activities.
I have never been married and I have no children.
My Ideal Person:
My ideal match would be a woman between the ages of 22 to 34 who has similar interests to mine.
I am not overly concerned about physical appearance. Appearance is nothing without intelligent conversation, manners, humbleness, kindness, honesty and unconditional love. Looks can change as easily as the wind blows, but personality comes from within and will always draw people together.
However, I am concerned that this person has an open mind, a lot of integrity and is emotionally mature. This person should be outgoing, independent, knows the meaning of a relationship, knows how to enjoy themselves and be themselves 24/7, and most importantly never suppresses the truth no matter how painful it might be to the other person. They would learn and adapt (personal growth) to things that come in their path or across their path.
They should like to travel.
