I’m a recent transplant to the area by way of Georgia, where I was born and raised. l've recently relocated to Alexandria
and am looking to meet people in the DC metro area. I spent the last 25 years or so in Atlanta, and moved to the area about two years ago to join a consulting company. I’ve been divorced for over 10 years and am a proud father to a bright (gets that from me), good looking (gets that from his mother) 12 year old who lives in Atlanta. Unfortunately, I don’t get to see him as much as I’d like, but we do talk frequently and I try to get back to GA to see him as much as I can.
Look most people, I am looking for "real love", but I'd love to meet new people and make new friends along the way. Even if we don’t make a connection, perhaps we might make great friends – after all, good friends are hard to come by.
I’m very well educated, am intelligent and bright, and love good conversation with a woman who can stimulate my mind first. I love witty banter and verbal sparring with someone who has opinions about many topics, even if we don’t agree, she knows why she believes what she does. At least we can agree to disagree. :o) I’ve been told I’m nice-looking, and I think I probably look better in person than in pics !! I’m in good shape for 44 and I guess that’s due in part to good genes and the fact that I try to make it the gym a few times a week. I’ve been involved in martial arts off and on for the last 25 years though I’m not currently training, I’d love to get back to it. I’d enjoy doing almost any outdoor activity though it’s fair to say I’m not as active as I was when I was younger :o( But I would be open to trying new things and exploring new places.
I’m looking for some who is intelligent, educated, loves good conversation, is in good shape, and just enjoys simple things in life with no drama or excess baggage. Obviously someone who I find attractive and who finds me attractive is a requirement. I consider myself to be more spiritual than religious, although I grew up attending a Baptist church, so someone who has similar spiritual beliefs would be nice. I'm told that women feel very comfortable around me and I believe in good old fashioned manners such as holding the door for a lady and saying "excuse me", "please", and "thank you". I value respect, consideration, affection, and passion.
I don’t want to reveal everything about me here, that would take some of the mystery out of getting to know me !!! So if I sound interesting to you, send me an email – emails are always better than winks. At the very least, I’d be willing to meet you for a drink. I have a vision of the woman I want to meet and am not willing to settle for less – I hope you feel the same.
